In an intriguing development in the football transfer market, both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly showing interest in Paris Saint-Germain’s forward, Randal Kolo Muani. A report from David Ornstein in The Athletic reveals that both Premier League teams have made inquiries regarding the 26-year-old’s availability ahead of the January transfer window.
Adding to the mix, Italian giants Juventus are also said to be keen on acquiring Kolo Muani. Since his arrival at PSG in 2023, the French striker has faced challenges in securing consistent playing time. Despite joining the club on the last day of the summer transfer window that year, Kolo Muani only found the back of the net six times in his inaugural season and has appeared in just 14 matches this current season.
A short-term loan arrangement appears to be a sensible option for all parties, as Kolo Muani is reportedly eager to part ways with PSG this month. Manchester United is on the lookout for a dependable goalscorer following Joshua Zirkzee’s underwhelming performance at the club. Meanwhile, Tottenham is navigating an injury crisis and is in need of a reliable backup for their forward, Dominic Solanke.
