David Beckham: A New Chapter at 50
When you think of David Beckham, images of his illustrious soccer career, glamorous modeling assignments, and memorable guest spots on shows like “Modern Family” likely come to mind. And you wouldn’t be mistaken. However, as he approaches his 50th birthday, Beckham is embracing a new direction in life. He’s stepping into a more prominent role as the owner of Inter Miami soccer club, dedicating more time to his family, and surprisingly, diving into the world of beekeeping!
Yes, you read that correctly. We recently had the chance to chat with the legendary soccer player, who is currently featured on the cover of Men’s Health, to explore what life looks like for him at this milestone age. When we inquired about his favorite ways to unwind, Beckham shared that he loves to take long motorcycle rides on the open road. Yet, he also finds peace in nurturing his farm at his idyllic countryside retreat.
“Spending time with my chickens, tending to my garden, enjoying a drink with friends—that’s what truly makes me happy,” he explains. “Our country home is where I have my chickens and a vegetable garden, and I take immense pride in it.”
The most unexpected detail? Beckham has established his own beehive and collects honey from it. “Every time we harvest the honey and see it beautifully displayed in my kitchen, it’s a moment that stirs my emotions. I look to my kids for their praise, but all I get is a casual ‘Yeah, whatever, Dad.’ Still, it’s an incredibly rewarding experience for me, and I’m committed to continuing this hobby.”
He even took to TikTok to showcase his beloved honey:
Currently, Beckham’s honey isn’t available for sale, but who knows what the future holds? A potential “Buzz Like Beckham” honey line might be on the horizon. In the meantime, you can dive into Beckham’s captivating story in the March/April 2025 edition of Men’s Health.
